Our commitment
Avatex Service Company is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards so our website is usable on the widest possible range of devices and by people who use assistive technologies.
Conformance target
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) WCAG 2.2 Level AA, which defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We also align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in our public-facing digital offerings.
Measures taken
- Semantic HTML structure with one logical
h1per page. - Descriptive alt text on every informative image; decorative images use empty alt.
- Keyboard operability — every interactive element is reachable and operable without a mouse.
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields.
- Color-contrast pairings designed to meet AA at body sizes; we never rely on color alone to communicate meaning.
- Forms have associated labels, autocomplete tokens for personal-info fields, and accessible error messages.
-
Landmark regions (
main, nav, header, footer) used once each, in document order. - Skip-to-content link as the first focusable element.
-
Respect for the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting — non-essential animation is disabled when the OS asks for it.
Known limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known areas we are working on:
- Third-party embeds (Wisetack financing application, Google Maps, manufacturer videos) are governed by their providers; we link to them where they meet our bar and surface alternative contact paths (call or form) when they do not.
- Some legacy images uploaded by content editors may have generic alt text; we audit and improve them as they're reviewed.
- Recently published articles may briefly carry placeholder structure until editorial review is complete.
